ผู้บัญชาการทหารอากาศ และคณะ ติดตามความก้าวหน้าการผลิต Gripen E/F

พลอากาศเอก เสกสรร คันธา ผู้บัญชาการทหารอากาศ ประธานกรรมการบริหารโครงการร่วมไทย-สวีเดน ในระดับรัฐบาล พร้อมด้วยคณะกรรมการบริหารโครงการจัดหาเครื่องบินขับไล่โจมตีทดแทน ระยะที่ ๑ (Gripen E/F) ติดตามความก้าวหน้าการผลิต ณ บริษัท Saab AB เมือง Linköping ราชอาณาจักรสวีเดน 

ซึ่งเครื่องบินแบบ Gripen E/F ตามที่กองทัพอากาศจัดหาได้เข้าสู่สายการผลิตแล้ว รวมถึงได้เยี่ยมชม Gripen E/F Simulator และรับฟังข้อมูลการปรับปรุงขีดความสามารถ บ.SAAB 340 AEW ที่จะได้รับการปรับปรุงเป็น รุ่น AEW&C ในอนาคต

ในโอกาสนี้ได้ร่วมหารือระดับสูงกับ Mr. Lars Tossman, Senior Vice President and Head of Business Area Aeronautics Saab AB เพื่อติดตามการดำเนินงาน โดยมุ่งเน้นไปที่การตรวจสอบมาตรฐานและกำกับดูแลกระบวนการผลิตอย่างรัดกุมในทุกขั้นตอน ในการบริหารจัดการโครงการด้วยความโปร่งใส และสร้างความเชื่อมั่นสูงสุดให้แก่พี่น้องประชาชนชาวไทย

ทั้งนี้ นอกเหนือจากการจัดหาเครื่องบินขับไล่ที่มีสมรรถนะสูงแล้ว กองทัพอากาศยังให้ความสำคัญอย่างยิ่งต่อนโยบายการชดเชยการนำเข้ายุทโธปกรณ์ (Offset Policy) ผ่านการรับการถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยีขั้นสูง (Technology Transfer) ซึ่งมิใช่เพียงการพัฒนาขีดความสามารถทางอากาศ แต่เป็นการขยายผลสู่การยกระดับศักยภาพของบุคลากร และก้าวสู่การวางรากฐานอันเข้มแข็งให้อุตสาหกรรมป้องกันประเทศของชาติต่อไปในอนาคต

Air Chief Marshal Sakesan Kantha, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) and Chairman of the  Joint Steering Committee (JSC) alongside the Committee for the Phase 1 Fighter Procurement Program (Gripen E/F), visited Saab AB in Linköping, Kingdom of Sweden, to

monitor the manufacturing progress of the newly commenced aircraft. 

The visit included a session at the Gripen E/F Simulator and a briefing on capability upgrades for the SAAB 340 AEW, which is positioned for a prospective upgrade to the AEW&C configuration in the future.

During this visit, the Commander-in-Chief engaged in high-level discussions with Mr. Lars Tossman, Senior Vice President and Head of Business Area Aeronautics at Saab AB, to oversee the project's advancement.

A primary focus of this inspection was the rigorous evaluation of manufacturing standards and strategic oversight of the production process. The RTAF remains steadfast in its commitment to operational transparency, ensuring the highest level of public confidence in the project's management.

Beyond the acquisition of high-performance fighter aircraft, the RTAF places paramount importance on the national Offset Policy. The strategic integration of advanced technology transfer goes beyond enhancing airpower; it serves as a catalyst for elevating personnel capabilities and laying a robust, sustainable foundation for Thailand's future defense industry.
